SnapForge Privacy Policy Effective Date: August 3, 2026
Developer: Qdafengzi Contact: qdafengzi@gmail.com
Introduction SnapForge is an iOS photo editing app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored when you use SnapForge on iPhone or iPad.
SnapForge is designed as a local-first editor. Photos, editing projects, previews, masks, OCR results, face detection results, export settings, and app preferences are processed on your device for the features you choose to use. SnapForge does not sell your personal information and does not use your data for tracking.
Information SnapForge May Access or Process Depending on the features you use, SnapForge may access or process:
Photos and images you choose to import, capture, edit, preview, export, or save. Edited output images, thumbnails, temporary previews, masks, render data, and project history needed for editing. Text that you add to an image, recognized OCR text, sticker placement, drawing strokes, and other edit parameters you create. Face detection information, such as face bounds and feature points, used for portrait and beauty editing tools. Image metadata, such as capture time, camera information, orientation, dimensions, color profile, and location metadata if it exists in the original image. App preferences and local settings, such as theme, recent project records, export format, export quality, and interface settings. How Information Is Used SnapForge uses this information to provide app functionality, including importing images, rendering previews, applying edits, detecting text or faces, managing recent projects, exporting images, saving copies, remembering settings, and improving the local editing experience.
Photos and project data are not uploaded to a server operated by the developer as part of normal app use. If you choose to share, export, email, upload, or open an image with another app or service, that action is controlled by you and may be handled by the selected third party under its own privacy policy.
Permissions SnapForge may request the following iOS permissions when needed:
Camera: used only when you choose to take a photo inside the app. Photos add access: used when you choose to save edited images to your photo library. Photo picker access: used when you choose images from your library through the iOS photo picker. The picker lets you select the images you want to provide to the app. If you deny a permission, the related feature may not be available.
Local Storage and Retention SnapForge stores recent project records, imported image copies, thumbnails, edited results, temporary files, and app preferences locally on your device. This allows you to reopen recent edits and keep the app working without an account.
Local data remains on your device unless you delete it through the app, remove exported files, clear app data where available, or uninstall SnapForge. Images saved to Photos remain in your photo library until you delete them there.
OCR and Face Detection SnapForge may use Apple system frameworks and on-device processing to recognize text or detect faces in images. OCR results and face analysis data are used to display results or apply editing effects inside the app. These results are not uploaded to a server operated by the developer during normal app use.
Metadata Images can contain metadata such as camera model, capture settings, date, orientation, and location fields. SnapForge may read or preserve metadata as part of image import, editing, and export. Location metadata can be privacy-sensitive, so review your image and export settings before sharing files with other people, websites, or apps.
Data Sharing SnapForge does not sell user data and does not share your photos, edited images, recognized text, or project files with third-party advertising or tracking services.
When you choose to share, export, or open a file with another app or service, the selected destination may receive the image and any included metadata. Those third-party apps, websites, cloud services, social platforms, or messaging services are governed by their own privacy policies.
Diagnostics If the app crashes or fails, Apple system tools or App Store services may provide diagnostic information such as device model, iOS version, app version, time of the error, and crash details. SnapForge does not intentionally include your photo contents in normal diagnostic reports.
If you voluntarily contact support and send screenshots, images, videos, logs, metadata, or other information, that information will be used only to investigate issues, respond to your request, and improve the app.
Children’s Privacy SnapForge is not directed to children under the age of 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact the developer so the information can be deleted where applicable.
Security SnapForge uses iOS permission controls and app-local storage to limit access to data. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so please be careful when sharing images that may contain faces, personal text, private locations, or metadata.
Changes to This Policy This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates take effect when the revised policy is posted, and the effective date above will be updated.
